Experience
and expertise

Penny began her career in financial services in 2000, spending 16 years working for two financial services providers. Following redundancy in 2016, she set up her own business providing outsourced administration services to the financial services sector.

After being introduced to Chris at the end of 2019, Penny began working with him in early 2020. She supports Chris with the day-to-day running of the business, taking responsibility for administrative tasks, collating information, and liaising with clients and providers.

One of Penny’s proudest career moments was winning her first customer service award, reflecting the care she brings to her work and the relationships she builds with clients.

On an ideal weekend, you can find me:

With my husband, family, and friends, enjoying good food and a few drinks, and catching up on all the latest gossip.

My favourite holiday destination is:

Majorca.

My favourite song to play in the car is:

‘I Gotta Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas.

The first album I bought was:

Keep On Rollin’ by the Bay City Rollers.

If I could be any fictional character, I would be:

Jack Bauer from 24.

If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a medal in:

Talking – I love finding out about people and what’s going on in their lives.

When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:

Black Forest gâteau – the classics are the best.

The three qualities that draw me to new people are:

Kindness, a great sense of humour, and patience.

My pet peeve is:

Bad manners.

The best gift I’ve ever received is:

My nephew.

The three people at my dream dinner party would be:

My Granny, because she died when I was young, and I never really got the chance to know her properly.

Peter Kay, because he makes me laugh.

Tim Peake, because I missed out on his tour when he returned from space.

The three small things that make my day better are:

Cups of tea, a walk on my lunch break, and a quiet five minutes to myself when I finish work.

Three things I haven’t done so far include:

Learning to drive, watching a Shakespeare play, and eating at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Passions and
personal life

Outside of work, Penny is a wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, and auntie, and spends much of her spare time with her family. She’s also lucky to have a close-knit group of friends who have been part of her life for more than 40 years, and they try to get together as often as they can.

Penny particularly enjoys weekends away and travelling abroad, as well as going to the theatre and concerts, eating out, and reading.

Calm planning, real impact
