Experience
and expertise
Following an early career in accountancy, Kim moved into financial services in 2000, quickly progressing to paraplanning while gaining her financial planning qualifications.
In 2002, Kim became an IFA. She loved looking after her clients, but missed being more deeply involved in the technical side of the advice process, so made the decision to focus on career paraplanning in 2004.
Within five years, she had become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Certified Financial PlannerTM, and a CISI Fellow and Accredited Paraplanner.
The rest, as they say, is history.
An experienced writer for the financial press, business consultant, mentor, public speaker, and all-round good egg, Kim has been privileged to receive various awards and accolades in recognition of her paraplanning skills over the years, working hard to “give something back” to the profession ever since.
She has been a paraplanner committee member of the CISI since 2012 and has helped put on various events for paraplanners and advisers over the years.
Passions and
personal life
It’s an understatement to say that life is “full-on” outside of work! Kim spends around three months each year living in a ski resort in the French/Swiss Alps. Despite not skiing, she enjoys walking around the mountains and lakes, making the most of a different way of life.
Back home in the UK, Kim is an avid exerciser, mixing military calisthenics, weight training, yoga, pole dance, walking, and swimming into most weeks.
Kim also loves animals and has a tropical fish tank and a pond behind her house, creating a haven for fish, frogs, newts, and birds.
She and her husband share a love of cars, attending events such as Goodwood Members’ Meetings and Salon Privé, as well as taking mammoth road trips around Europe.
