How we charge
NorthNest is a private wealth practice built for people who value long-term thinking and clarity around money.
Our fees reflect the work involved in building your plan, putting it into place, and helping you keep it on track over time.
Your fees at a glance
Our planning fees have two main parts: an initial fee for building and implementing your financial plan, and an ongoing fee for the advice and support you receive afterwards.
Plan
Building your financial plan (Strategy) and implementing it (Activation).
Partnership
Ongoing support to keep your plan on track.

What you get
A clear financial plan, including the analysis, modelling, and recommendations behind it.
How it works
There are three bands, depending on how much work is involved: Foundation, Extended and Comprehensive.
| Plan type | Strategy fee | Activation fee | Total cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation | £3000 | £2000 | £5000 |
| Extended | £5000 | £4000 | £9000 |
| Comprehensive | From £8000 | From £7000 | From £15000 |
How it works
The purpose of our Partnership service is to help you continue making thoughtful, well-structured decisions as those circumstances evolve – with someone alongside you who already understands the wider picture. This fee is an ongoing annual fee for ongoing advice.
What it costs
The fee is calculated on a marginal tiered basis. Each portion of your portfolio is charged at the rate for that band, so your entire portfolio does not move into a higher charging tier as it grows.
What this services includes:
-
At least one annual review meeting, including a written assessment confirming your plan remains suitable for your circumstances.
-
Ongoing access to your adviser and our team - for questions, guidance, and the decisions that matter, as your circumstances evolve.
-
Online access to your own client portal - track progress on your goals, see your documents and reports, and message us securely, all in one place.
-
A trusted sounding board during life's significant moments - retirement, inheritance, family support, gifting, work transitions, business change.
-
Calm guidance when it matters most - steady, considered support during uncertainty, emotional decisions, or major life transitions.
-
Forward-planning conversations that keep your plan pointed in the right direction, held as often as your circumstances need, and always at least once a year.
-
Regular oversight of your investments, including monitoring how your portfolio is performing and rebalancing where needed to keep it aligned with your agreed strategy.
-
Continued review of your wider arrangements and structures, so your plan stays aligned with your objectives as life moves on.
-
Coordination with your accountant, solicitor, or other professional advisers - so your decisions stay joined-up, not siloed.
-
Monitoring of tax, legislative, and regulatory change, so your plan adapts when necessary.
-
Invitations to selected NorthNest events and insights, designed to support clearer long-term thinking around wealth, family, and legacy.

NorthNest Family & NorthNest Next
Two further services have their own fee schedule, available on request.
NorthNest Family
NorthNest Family is for family members of existing Partnership clients. It includes a reduced Plan Fee, reflecting what we already understand about your family’s wider picture, and a combined Partnership rate across your family.
NorthNest Next
NorthNest Next is for clients building their wealth through regular monthly saving, rather than existing assets. It has its own initial fee and a reduced ongoing minimum. If either applies to you, we will talk you through it and share the relevant schedule.
More than managing money
Financial planning isn’t simply about choosing investments or working out what something costs. It’s about helping you make good decisions with your wealth as life changes – from knowing when you can retire to deciding what to do with wealth you no longer need yourself.
That’s what our fees are designed to support: thoughtful advice, careful planning, and an ongoing relationship that helps you make the most of what you’ve built.
